good Lord!!! lets just wrap this thing and move on to signing a left winger!!! but i wished Silva moved along with Villa with us. would've been a great buy. tooo bad tat wont happen. Welcome Villa! hope this becomes official sooon.

Valencia must be pretty pissed off that this point that we are waving about contracts that villa will be offered. I dont like the way we have gone about this, these sorts of things should be kept private by the club until after we sign villa.

Th only ones we should worry about were Madrid but they have Benzema now, so they gave up on Villa. Well, there's one club left we should worry about: Valencia...

I really don't like this type of negotiating, as one said, it doesn't mean anything until valencia aproves it. We spend weaks negotiating with players and when we came to speak with his club they say he is not for sale (read villa) or put astronomic transfer price (read filipe). Barca should really start negotating with teams first and with the players. There is no player that wouldn't play for barca, except bilal ribery.
One more thing, these catalan newspaper sucks, everyday we buy some player, according to them, but all I know that today is 02.07.2009 and we haven't bought anyone, and believe me we need to strenghten our squad.

Now the reports say that Valencia chiefs are not keen on Keirrison because they want straight cash deal instead. And Valencia president keeps saying that there are no negotiations with Barcelona for Villa. Barca should sign Villa now because otherwise they have to wait Eto'os decision, and nothing indicates that Eto'o would be in a hurry to renew his deal. I think that Villa and Eto'o could play in the same team because the season is long and there are Nations cup, injuries, suspensions and Pep´s rotation policy. Barca wont buy 4-5 top players this summer and by keeping Eto'o(if he signs a new deal) and signing Villa the team could forget the left winger and spend that same money on Mascherano or Cesc.

And my god i have never seen cheaper fans than barca !!! "Oh no i will not pay more than 20mill for this guy" or "no he's too expensive we can find better"!!! As if the money is cmin out of ure own pockets!

I gotta admitt mardid has way more attacking power than barca..but our midfield and defence is far better!

i hope this goes thru, valencia are just being difficult as not so long ago they were our equals. i hate to say it but i hope etoo goes now or fires his agent, either way villa would be a good signing.

we dont want to spend loads on players as that is not what barca are about and as for RM the only real threat is kaka, benzema is unproven in la liga and was crap last year, the dutch players aren't exactly gonna feel wanted by the club and sneijder is the only decent one anyway. kaka-benzema-ronaldo is still not better than messi-etoo/vila-henry even though they have spent a quarter of a billion euros.

as for a repeat of 2007, not gonna happen while pep is in charge, all we need is to improve the quality of the overall squad, WE dont need to buy lots of star players, WE already have them.

kaka-benzema-ronaldo is still not better than messi-etoo/villa-henry and our squad is still better. RM HAVE to win something this year otherwise they will be a laughing stock, the pressure is all on them.

omg madrid on paper do not have a "better" attacking force than barca. how can u guys even say that lol. how many goals have henry-etoo-messi netted this season compared to their possible ronaldo-benzema-kaka? seriously i love the exaggeration i'm reading on here. me personally i'll just stand back and let this transfer season play out then i will criticize or praise depending on the final line up. madrid have no choice but to get rid of a few players anyway. we'll see who they have on the roster then. like it or not madrid admirers the pressure is on them, they have to rebuild to be able to compete for all titles again. i just want barca to plug up the weak positions and get good backups, i dont expect and want stars just solid ppl who will do the job.

what makes you think that iniesta < kaka? and how is bojan < huntelaar, cos he scored all those goals in eredivisie? lol thats past history dude. how he perform with madrid wasnt he a flop whc is why if talks are to be belived they want to offload him? lol

as for your concerns with depth, we are still completing our transfers. thats my only pt we need to wait see what happens + i didnt know ribery with madrid is official but maybe you have inside info yes?

its all speculative at this point. i wont stress seeing as i cant possibly influence anything where i'm at but you're free to do so obviously :D

ah yes my bad so iniesta = kaka well hes no wpoty but at the rate he is improving we may have 3 of the worlds best in our team very soon (not saying ofc we dont already have them atm hehe :P) as for huntelaar ah yes 7 goals very nice esp if you came in for 20 mil. now lets see bojan: in la liga played 23 games 17 as sub scored 2 assisted 14, in copa played 9 scored 5 assisted 6, in cl played 9 scored 3 assisted 4, and hes what 18? thought those are nice figures as well esp since we didnt cough out 20 mil for him. dont get me wrong tho am not sayin you shouldnt like huntelaar ;)

ok good to hear that but seriously huntelaar isnt "better" than bojan come on lol. age 17 bojan already playing top flight footy making his mark too netted 12 goals on 1st yr hows that so where was hunte then but umm nways no prob if you like him lol jus that bojan is the better player imo just check those stats he doesnt only score goals he sets up a lot of them so ehh. hunte has good finishing sure but he is a poacher not all around forward he wouldnt suit barca game, i prefer more versatility like how barca molds our players and um bojans not quite 19 yet so..

I disagree that bojan is better right now. Bojan is more versatile i agree and bojan has better potential but i'd have to give the edge to huntelaar because he has more experience and has scored a few more goals in a competitive league than bojan. Thats all.

Everyone needs to forget about Madrid, remembering that we beat them 6-2, them buying 3 or 4 great strikers is doing nothing, Their theory is that they will buy strikers so they can score more goals then 6 goals against us! If they hadnt of bought the players they have and in turn bought great defenders then we should be worried. Feel free to make that quote of the day pep ;)

forget about what madrid are doing and let's focus on us instead.
and because this season's transfer window is all screwed cuz of stupid EE we MUST concede that we may not end up with the preferred or necessary replacements/reinforcements...and even tho i know how imperative it is to bring in new faces if we don't/can't we must have faith in the players we already have.
there's no use complaining here about how we want this or that.

also...forget a winger. henry has one more solid season left and then bojan will take over the LW. like i mentioned before...i think its safe to assume that eto'o cannot be counted even if he stays. there has been a loss of trust between player and club. so we need a CF and a LB...but no aguero. why? cuz we already have keirrison. and cover for xavi...crosas would be my ideal rather than cesc.

@barca4life lol no problem dude keep liking JKH, just one thing though, if experience and goal scoring prowess is your standard then would you say huntelaar is not only better than Bojan but also Messi? lol cos he has more experience and scored so much more than him riight? haha jp i do get your pt about the subs but nways there's so much hype around huntelaar and way i see it he still has to deliver fully, regardless of how competitive you think it is eredivisie is levels below la liga, and whether you think hes a rookie or not i think bojan is crazy good considering we play him out of his natural position, that many clubs want him(incl surprise surprise ajax!) is proof enough :D
