Now tell me if its not weak line-up guys... Four players on the chart have no ready-for-first-team back-up players :(
We need 2-3 players more in order to have bench depth...
It's too risky to start the season like this.
We must sign a CB and a CM but Chyg is out and Cesc will be hard to get and/or expensive. If we get Cesc I would be more calm but we also need another CB. If we get another CB Puyol can be backup to RB - no problem there. Pedro and Bojan can also play the left flank - no problem there. In worst case Marquez can play backup DM during the ACN.
Why we dont keep henrique for RB i dont know. He has covered that position already. Montoya and Dalmau are good prospects but i'd feel better if we kept henrique. Iniesta can back up henry if we get cesc and cesc can back up xavi as well solving 2 problems at once. All that would be left would be to get a defender that plays CB and RB
we should only get felipe luis on free for the LB and move maxwell to other positions, he can play DM during AFN and he also plays excellent in both LAM, LW he would be an asset to the team with his versatility imo... that is all we need if u ask me and we will be all set for the season... but somehow our board dosen't think so and they are willing to spend insane amounts of money:(
The same thing as last season. And we all know how that ended
Plus, there are more youngsters that are capable of playing at high level
The difference is that last season we were lucky to don't have many injured players. What will we do if we don't have the same luck ?
Heights of optimism :
As there are numerous transfers in history where a club buys a player from some particular club and then play pre-season friendly with them & then leaves all the income to the seller club as a gratitude for the transfer.
In our case, buying Luca Modric & Kompany in such transfer saga seem to be the best option :P
Modric is like Iniesta though not sooo deadly a player if you know what I mean. He could play CM, CAM and LW as well. No need to break the holy combination of Xavi & Iniesta for Modric to get the play-time. He's fast & composed. Would be an EXCELLENT addition to any squad.
Kompany, as all have discussed would be a good defender & a decent back-up for our CDM position when Yaya and Keita are out on National duties.
These 2 players could prove to be very good back-up for 5 positions in the chart, CB,CDM,CM,CAM & LW :)
well the mundo did forget to mention that many player like Puyol, Iniesta, Bojan, could play at least two or more position....
also the cantera do have some player who does fit as backups for henry(gai,jeffren,oriol)

another central Midfielder whom is able to backup xavi is more than enough!
mascherano or fabregas are great reinforcements but in my opinion one experienced player like for example pirlo,seedorf is more than enough^^
Yoann Gourcuff is maybe good player for us, if Cesc is unpossible. He's a best player in French league, he can play CM and AM, he is young(22years)and Inter has interrest. Bordeux pay for him 15 millions, maybe they can sell him for 30 millions.
Pedro and Bojan are not 100% trustworthy and players like Gai, Jonathan Dos Santos and Muniesta cant carry the team yet. Barca cant field several untested teens same time without that the our quality of play drops dramatically thats why more signings are needed. It was idiotic decision to send Keirrison on loan just to give more chances to Bojan who will probably never become Barca´s number one striker, he just doesnt have right qualities to play as a CF in 4-3-3. RM doesnt have any worries to have at least four proper strikers but why Barca likes to put all the eggs in same the basket by having virtually only Zlatan? Even bigger concern is that sometimes Puyol has to cover Alves and also Iniesta wont always play in the midfield. If we buy only one player, it should be an attacking midfielder because Barca has zero cover for Xavi and Iniesta. But Barca has only one week left to get Cesc before he becomes cup-tied. The schedule will be so tough that the team may have problems to rotate key players and still play for 5-6 trophies(although three of those trophies are 1-2 wins away)

This is why we ned players like Keita, Guddy, Hleb, Henrique,....If we let them all leave (I know Keita is staying) we will be in big problems....BIG
check that pic and remove yaya and keita and you will see what our midfield will look for 2 months only xavi/iniesta/busquets 3 freaking players for 3 positions .even if you count the young ones thiago and jonathan thats 5 imagine 1 or 2 getting injured then we will stuck with 1-2 first team players and 1-2 youth for 2 months..... we seriusly need a midfielder.....
for defence i dont worry too much ,i think muniesa and fontas are good to go ,so no problem there,puyol will play as RB so nothing wrong there.
for offence we have messi/pedro/ibra/bojan/henry/jeffren 6 players for 3 positions thats fine.
also messi can play amc too but still it will be 4 first team players for 3 positions.we cant go like this to a full season.we need a midfielder and noone fits better than cesc ,i wish we can sort it out before he plays cl(not like the crytciski deal)cause he will be needed in cl games too.
god damn we been slow on transfers this year
