I saw Henrique play a few times last year . I'm impressed with his technique ,tackling and smart play. He can play as RB and LB !!

Yes, Henrique has amazing ball control and passing for a defender. He is not Xavi yet, but you never know, he might turn out to be almost as good.

What on earth is going on, why are we signing Maxwell, the guy ain't even playing regularly for Inter, this ws our third choice after Luis Felipe and Andre Santos....we won the treble for god sake we should have money to spend and to go for third chice because of money is a disgrace....we need to build a team for the future and Felipe is 23, with La Liga experience and I am sure he is more than capable to make the LB position his own. Whats it gonna be next?....Forlan....this is getting really bad if reports are true!!

I think he will turn out to be one of the best investments Barcelona has made during this current generation. He is versatile and at 22, having paid 8 million Euros plus 2 mil. in incentives looks like it will turn out be a bargain. I can't wait to see what this guy has in store for us.

I am not saying that I believe the shitty Goal.com but just a thought of Maxwell joining us is sending a shiver down my spine... But as they say there's no smoke when there is no fire. If at all the board did even consider Maxwell then there must be something seriously wrong going on with them. Pep, return to Camp Nou as early as possible... time to unveil your magic dude. It's disgusting that board left some work for you even b4 the season :(

maxwell is not as bad deal as u think and 4m its a decent buy considering his age too

those he say he wasnt a part of a squad ... he was injured and missed 6-7 months
first season he played as LB
then he was shifted as LM since his passing was good
mourinho came and he was injured santon made Lb his spot
LM was taken by maicon he was bought 4m roma last term
thats why he had to again fight for his place and new tactics under diff coach so his place was not fixed then also he made decent appearance
for 4m a backup for 2-3 yrs is good

anyone who says maxwell is crap clearly never seen him play. personally andre santos isn't all that good to me and filipe is good but when it comes to experience and attacking down the left maxwell is prince(king=lahm) and maxwell wasn't third choice when the transfer season started i remember barcelona mentioning his name. next is bruno alves and then villa hopefully.

Marc4barca: Please don't talk about Bruno Alves. We need a ball playing player at the back, not a butcher like Bruno Alves. Especially since we already have 4 good CBs (not including Caceres) and Muniesa and Milito as well, we need to think and buy smarter than splash out huge money for average players.

Let us find out if Lucio is available, or another great CB from Bundesliga or French league, similar to Marquez transfer. We need to think smart.

I never said Maxwell was shit... But look at his age. He's not the one we need right now. Moreover he's a wing-back not a full-back, now if both Alves and Maxwell play together in a match man dear Pique gonna have to sweat out a lot :P
I guess he never fit in our original plans, so going for a deal out of thin air, a sudden decision... I still think there's some thing bad going on. But now I only hope Maxwell really does well and replace Abidal as out LB starter this season itself.
