Pep, can you verify the date of the interview in which he said, "If I have the chance to play for Barcelona, I'd be really happy," please?

If I'm not mistaken that was from an interview before the quarter final game of Euro 2008. And I just think the press, specifically the Sun, is exploitatively recycling this quote to sell more paper.

That story doesn't really "prove" anyhting Carrer. Just an Arsenal fan trying to say it's rubbish.

Anyway, 90 per cent of the things you read these days are lies. The Sun, Mundo Deportivo, or any other paper. Just try to find out what the 10 per cent is...

Imo we should Zhirkov and Higuain, Arshavin is good but he just joined Arsenal, no one sells that soon.

Robinho, Ribery, Keirison, Villa, Mata, Mascherano or whatever, all that is a waste of money or it does not fit our style of playing. Busquets is enough, or Rafa can play during the African Cup.

Bottom line is that I am willing to bet that Arshavin won't end up at Barcelona...Any takers?

Arshavin is great player , i respect him just like Arsenal , Arsenal play same as Barca just we are much better :) I think Barca shouldnt take their players , only Cesc Fabregas even he is their main player , i hope we get Mascherano and leave Cesc at Arsenal , they will be great team next season .
And for left wing i hope we get Mata , and villa for CF great players ;)

Well, I don't understand this. Fury, you are saying that you don't want Cesc to leave because you don't want to weaken Arsenal. But at the same time, you want Mata and Villa to leave Valencia? That would effectively mean another Clasico is deciding the league.

i guess he's a good player, but i always thought he was younger than 27 he'll be 28 next season why in the world would we make such a ridiculous move like buying a 28 year old winger...
above all that arsenal wouldn't let go of him that easily
as for the left wing, the "mata" option shoud work fine and i encourage his move but only for a good price like between 13 and 18 Mill shoud be OK.
or we can get villa and mata for 55 MIL plus loan of caceres(henrique) and kierrson (bojan)
