2010 summer tour in Asia

Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona will next year do a pre-season tour in Asia.

The club thinks that after three years a tour is needed to consolidate the club's position in the growing Asian market.

Barcelona would have a fairly strong position in Japan, but would need to strenghten their market share in countries like China, Malaysia and Singapore, that are dominated by English Premier League clubs and especially Manchester United. Because of the 2010 World Expo, Barcelona certainly plans to play a game in Shanghai, the largest city in China.

See.. I knew the Barcelona board has someone reading comments on this blog, Insiderknowledge perhaps. LOL.

I remember someone told me to lepaklah!!. Well here's your answer. If you don't express your opinion, no one knows how you feel.

So in retrospect, even if I know I can't change any of Barcelona's board decisions, the least I can do is remind them and provide ideas that may be brought forward to them by someone. A guy can always dream and make a wish, can't he?

Wish Barca visit India...World's largest democracy!!! India is the largest democracy in the world and it has the potential to be a huge market for barca...Please come to India....

Barca should come to india.. I know they won't anyhting from the practice match, not even for the youth team but look at the market!! it's going to be the biggest market for football if not already is....

hello fellow cules i can indeed confirm we will definitely be looking to go on tour to asia next season barring any reason such as swine flu etc we will be touring, we are talking wit several clubs in japan, south.korea, malaysia, singapore, china, thailand and indeed india where we see the potential for the barca brand to explode, please be aware things are at a very early stage but its nice to see cules from these regions as we will try pur best to come and see you, VISCA EL BARCA I VISCA CATALUNYA!!!
