Zico just said that CSKA without zhirkov is like Barca without Messi! Seems like no one wants to sell the players we want...no Ibra, no Villa, no Ribery, no Silva, no Aguero, no Zhirkov! More than ever I hope we renew Eto. Pay that man his money!

hope he we will keep eto'o because there are only 4 world class strikers in the world: eto'o, ibrahimovic, david villa and fernando torres.

aguero and benzema are talented but not that good YET.

Wow Insider has got this 1 on the money. @Anonymous if you believe what Insider has told us they pulled him off the market because he wants to come barca and barca has not made a formal offer. I'm sure they are tired of hearing Perez run his mouth

Barca will solve the "left side problem" by signing Zhirkov. He would be the best option and he's reiterating recently that his first choice is Barca.
@groga: mate, no need to sell Abidal, simply because Zhirkov fits for EVERY position on the left. BTW, his nickname is "Russian Ronaldinho".
There's no need to buy more players. Guys, Barca don't need Ribery or Ibra or Villa. Everything is still here. Just renew Eto'o and Toure and all the problems are gone. Eto'o deserves to be renewed.
Well, I guess I wouldn't want anyone else except Zhirkov for the next season.
Call me Mr. Modest. :)

whatever it is, zhirkov is good, and i would be much happier seeing him than all the galactico signings

after missing out on the other russian magician, arshavin, i think we cant make the same mistake again with zhirkov...

after the euro's i really hoped barca would sign arshavin and zhirkov, but insteaad they bought hleb...

Anyway, we won the treble and had a legendary season... :)

i like him in a way i don't like villa, ribery, and all the other marque names that are willing to play for either us or RM. any player we have to compete with RM over makes me suspicious. it's Zhirkov's DREAM to play at barca. he bleeds blaugrana!

You can't blame Barca for Arshavin. We had a price agreed and they decided they wanted to jack it up. It turns out we were exactly right and he actually went to Arsenal for a little less than what we'd agree before the Euros.

Hi guys newbie, struck gold when I came across this blog.I am thinking though, he could pretty much cover our left side issue single handily.I mean, he can play on as a winger when Abidal is fit, and replace him when he is not.Kill two birds with one stone.
