Madrid sports tabloid Marca claims that Barcelona could pay next week the buyout fee of Zaragoza forward and Spanish international Sergio García (24) (read more here).
Future Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola would have contacted García over the last week to say he's counting on him for next season. The Barcelona youth product, who played last season regularly as right winger, would be delighted by this chance to return and will accept any concrete offer.
Zaragoza nevertheless says they don't need to sell players and point to the buyout clauses of their players. In the case of Sergio García, the buyout fee would be 20 million euro°. Barcelona sold the player three years ago to Zaragoza for 1,5 million euro°.
Catalan sports paper Sport meanwhile claims that Valencia signed a few weeks ago a deal with Zaragoza, giving Valencia the first option on Zaragoza players Sergio García and Alberto Zapater in case Zaragoza was relegated, something that has happened in the meanwhile. Garcia has also been linked to Atlético Madrid.
