Asked about the constant rumours linking him with a transfer away from the Premier League (read more here), Arsenal midfielder and Spanish international Cesc Fàbregas (21) has said in an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena Ser that he wants to play in Spain before his career comes to an end:

"Everybody knows that I would like to return to Spanish football one day. Playing for a big Liga team is an experience I want to live. I would like to play there in the future, as a professional.

My initial plan has nonetheless always been the same. That's why I signed a long contract with Arsenal, until 2014. The thing is that nobody can ever be sure of his place anywhere. Today everything is so close, so complicated that you never know what can happen. But the truth is that at this moment I'm very happy, very motivated and being captain is an extra incentive."
