Catalan sports paper Sport claims that Barcelona wants to renew the contract of Barcelona forward and Cameroonian international Samuel Eto'o (27).
Both the club and Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola are delighted with the attitude and the involvement of Eto'o on and off the pitch this season.
Barcelona has already made the first steps to offer the striker an extension of his current contract that expires in 2010 and the negotiations will be started once Barcelona players Xavi and Busquets have signed their renewals.
It is expected that Barcelona will offer Eto'o to sign for another extra two years, until the summer of 2012. Despite already being one of the top-three earners of the Barcelona squad, the Cameroonian player will probably ask for a serious pay rise.
